Stonebridge Sport Horses was founded in 2014 with the main purpose to import, train, sell and mediate international top quality dressage horses, from Europe in general and from Sweden in particular, to the US market. Stonebridge Sport Horses is also to an exclusive group of goal-oriented clients offering board and dressage training of highest international level. Owner of Stonebridge Sport Horses is Christina Devine and head of operations is Karin Persson. They both believe that focusing on quality and not quantity is the path to success!


​​Head Trainer
Head trainer at Stonebridge Sport Horses is Swedish Karin Persson. Karin is a very experienced and successful international FEI competitor and trainer who has produced many horses through young horse championships as well as successfully up through the FEI levels. Karin has previously worked and trained both in Sweden and in Germany. She offers long experience training with some of the best trainers. For example she has kept her horses and trained with World Cup Winner Louise Nathhorst for almost 20 years. Karin's philosophy reflects a classic training style and she believes in training correctly from the beginning in order to achieve true harmony with the horse. She and her students have enjoyed success at all levels of showing from first level to Grand Prix as well as in young horse competitions. If you want to know more about Karin, check her website:

​Barn Manager

Rebecca Bergstrom has an Equine degree from Sweden. Before working for Stonebridge Sport Horses she was Karin's competition groom in Sweden and she has also worked part time at Tinne Vilhelmssons's barn Lovsta Stuteri in Sweden. She is now our much appreciated barn manager/head groom and assistant trainer. 









Facilities

New York:
Stonebridge Sport Horses leases Watch Hill Farm in New York as the summer base, located right between Bedford and Greenwich. The farm is at a great location, only 40 miles from Manhattan, and offers the most beautiful surroundings. There is plenty of turn out, both smaller paddocks and bigger grass fields. The indoor ring (20*40m) has mirrors covering one short side, new kick walls and perfect travel right footing. The brand new, full-sized (20*60m) outdoor ring is beautifully and peacefully located with perfect travel right footing. There is a private trail around a pond for short hacks and there is also access to the BRLA trail system. There are grooming stalls and wash stall. At Watch Hill Farm they have everything they need to be able to train their horses professionally and still be in a relaxed, rustic atmosphere. 








Wellington:
In Florida Stonebridge Sport Horses stays at Jewel Court Stud USA's amazing farm right on Southfields rd, with hacking distance to Global! The farm has everything you need for professional horse care and training. It's a gated farm with turn out paddocks, a super-sized outdoor ring with one mirrored short side, plenty of wash and grooming stalls, grooms quarters on property, beautiful tack room, fans, automatic fly spray and a friendly and professional atmosphere.








Students

Stonebridge Sport Horses and Karin are proud trainers to a couple of the top junior riders in the country, Asia Ondatjee Rupert and Amelia Devine. Asia is due to her young age already a quite experienced dressage rider. She already did several national championships with her pony and has now moved on to junior division. In 2015 she was 4th placed and best north american rider at the Florida Youth Championships with her mare Twelfth Night. They also competed in NAJYRC as well as the American championships. At the American championships they finished at a second place in the last class of the show. In 2016 she was again 4th placed in the Florida Youth Championships, this time with her new mount Firmamento. 

​Amelia Devine made her debut in the junior classes in 2016. Amelia and her gelding Perazzi DS were represented at the National Championships in Chicago 2016. They were also unbeaten through the CDI's in Saugerties and Devon in the fall 2016 with many scores around or above 70%!
